Hi everybody, I just joined the group and have a 1958 ford skoolie 25ft, 32 pass. with a 292y block in it. engine runs good but still needs work. Stripped inside. stilll thinking about insulation and other issues like solar uses. I've had this Bus for about 2 years but havn't had much time to work on it. At first I was living in it behind a friends house and a big tree fell on it, hitting the Right rear corner. Well, I got discouraged and let it sit...fixed the 1 and a half foot deep dent and am now ready to repaint the green and white bus with I think an oil based sealer primer from Ace Hardware, then go on to another oil based housepaint from there. I also want to rebuild the brake system(they do work) and it has some wierd stuff like the emergency brake on the driveshaft.
For the inside a bed in the back a very small bath area, kitchen, Wood stove,Seating(beds) and storage undernieth, 2 deepcycle gel cells need to buy a solarcell, and the whole electrical system to run on 12 volts.
I need to find some used 9-22.5 tires for the bus at decent price
. If anyone knows about this kind of bus or just have some tips on anything please let me know.
