1979 Bluebird w/ VW, veggie oil, piano, wood interior, etc..
After a year of sweat, joy, toil and ecstasy, we figured we should post some pictures of the final product. We have traveled from Northwest Washington down to Tucson and are eventually headed to Austin.

Those are awesome pictures! Great conversion job. Do you have any pictures of the flange cut on the VW (and any pictures showing how you bolted it to the bus body..lots of bolts IIRC... lol) Also, does the piano lose its tune down the bumpy road? I plan on equipping with my Roland A-80 & synth modules, not worried about them losing tune

Too COOL!! Is the VW roof the camper type with the pop up tent on top? And did you wire in the VW headlights and turnsignals and brake lights so they are still functional?? With the additional weight up there can you "feel" extra wind drag or top heaviness???

I want to put an electric piano in my bus, but obviously it needs to be able to withstand heat and being rattled around on the road often. How was your luck with the Roland and do you have any other recommendations?

This is wonderful - what fun! Your front door is especially fabulous! I'm sending a link to that to the hubs right now
