Talking 1983 Wayne Busette on a 1990 Chevy G30 - ReBuild

I recently purchased a short school bus which had previously been used (and abused) as a camper for a steal ($50 - I haul). It's a 1990 Chevy G30 Cutaway with a 1983 Wayne Busette body. It was vandalized -- all the windows are broken and it has been severely neglected. Zero rust though - which is a rarity for Vermont. My end goal is to make it livable with reliable heat, and a good exhaust fan for the summer months.

I'll replace/refit all the windows with tinted acrylic, and replace all of the insulation in the walls and ceiling, and probably refit with a battery bank that can be adapted to solar recharging. It will be ton of work, but I'm so excited to make this little space livable for me and my dog.

I've been working on a floorplan in sketchup, and would love soome feedback. Space is severely limited - 80"x130" is a rough estimate with the wall additions I plan. Photos below.

Congrats! In Vermont you might be better off skinning the windows with some steel sheeting and super insulating. Nothing beats proper insulation.

I like light - The windows around the head I will probably remove but the remainder I will insulate with good curtains. Thanks for the feedback!
