Talking 1990 Thomas Mighty-Mite (P30)

We just bought our 1990 Thomas Mighty-Mite (P30, Chevy 350-gas), and we're so excited to get going on the conversion. It will be used both as a Uhaul and as our home temporarily when we get to our destination. So the goal is a comfortable living space for the 2 of us and our fur-babies (cat and dog), and space to move our stuff.

We have begun emptying out the bus, and furiously researching conversion options as well as requirements to re-title as an RV (insurance yada-yada). I'm a baby-beginner so please be patient with me and my remedial questions.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Some early questions include:

1) Anyone have experience registering a school bus as an RV in Nevada? I am not finding any requirements on the DMV website, but I hear whisperings of inspections etc...

2) Does anyone use an extension chord (20 Amp) for their power source? Do you feel the full breaker box/inverter electrical system is vital?

3) Also, having some trouble finding the fuse-box... (Rookie, I know)
