I started out by removing the bottoms of all the seats. At first i was easy about it and it took time until i figured out what to do. Under the seat, closed to the isle and at the front of the seat, there is a tab with a screw that holds it in place. Losing that screw, turn the tab, lift up on the outer side of the seat and pull forward and push back, most all popped right out and a few i had to losing the other screw at the front, under the seat, and towards the wall.
Next and nastiest, because the seat were mildewie (Yeah that's a word
) I cut the seat covers off with an exacto knife and then just pulled the cushion straight up. There were a couple that gave me trouble at the bottom of the seat but just work it off and it will come.
With an electric impact wrench, on the four floor bolts per seat, two per leg, and someone underneath holding the nut. We did half the bus that way and I lost my help about half way through so I moved to a die grinder, It was quicker but I really wanted to keep the nuts and bolts because they were hardened steel and I knew sooner or later I could reuse them.
Finally, just with a open end/ boxed in wrench and a socket with an extension and ratchet, most came out without difficulty at all. A few on the bottom I used the open end side of the wrench when space was an issue.
Sorry the images keep failing to load so i can't show them but the will let me load them into the album
