1993 BlueBird "Trap Bus"

I finally got a bus! Within my budget! I pick it up tomorrow from Monroe, Louisiana. I had bid on it last friday for $1100....... and it was looking like i was going to win it for that price. Then in the last minute someone tried to sniper bid me, not on this day bud. I engaged in a small bidding war and he finally gave up at $1700. After fees, bus was mine for the grand total of $1912.50!!!!!! Ill post pics tomorrow, but for now ill post pics from the auction site.

Nice buy.

Where's the wheel chair lift? You're going to have to put a wood stove in there the hard way.

Congrats on the bus! Looks like this has been a good few weeks for bus buying for quite a few of us. I look forward to seeing what you do with it.

That sucks, but if they'll take it back that's pretty cool of them.

That was an auction wasn't it? As far as I know sales are usually final. You can say that they misrepresented it in the advertisement and that's your best bet at bending their ear a little.

So, I spent every dollar I've saved on a bus that needs more work than its worth.

so then start out to try andfind out whats wrong rather than just assume its scrap... it did drive so at least it runs.. may just need some adjustments and such to dial it in..

Very true. I'm just upset with the whole situation is all. It'll be alright. The cummins is one of the popular engines of its time and from what I understand easier than some to work on.

Just have to take a step back, calm down and then put on your reasoning hat and tackle it one little thing at a time..

fiorst thing id do is check the oil Level and see if it is OVER full...
a bad fuel injecotr or 2 will cause an engine to bust out black smoke like crazy.. and dumps fuel into the crankcase.. seriously thinning the oil and then over-filling it which often causes leaks.... not saying thats whats wrong.. but its a place to start...

also if your fuel injection is electronic your dashboard may very well tell you of an engine code to help you along with what may be going on...
