Like less savory shtuff, water rolls downhill.
Even if it's a marginal quantity like perspiration, it accretes with no easy egress.

Well I can think of one upgrade for you down the road.
With your variety of gearing I'd be inclined to try some 11R's if you ever need a new set of tires.
Would get you a few less rpm's at speed and they're cheaper and easier to find than 10R's.

That is a planned upgrade. A friend has a pile of 10r's that I'm using up first.
However a 11r upgrade isn't as simple as it sounds, you need new rims too as 11s use a rim that is 3/4" wider than 10s
When the bus is done I will get a set of Aloca rims for it sized for 11rs and polish them up to be like a mirror, but that is a future project

11R's will work on the wheels for your 10R's. They'll go down as low as a 7.5" wheel most of the time. I've got 10R's and the tire shop has already told me 11R's will work just fine. You don't want them touching, but mine and all the buses I've had have had plenty of spacing in the rear.
The 11R's are good for a couple more mph. I'd run em on mine but I'm already geared super high and don't want any more reduction in rpm's.
I'd take advantage of a free pile of 10R's too, though!! Good score, man!

That would go against what my tire man had said as well as manufacturer literature that I've read

Not here to argue, but 11r's are perfectly fine on 7.5" wheels, man.
