David,
Any rubber dampers underneath the unit? Now would be the time.
Up at the top beneath the floor...are you welding to the cross members and the floor? Trying to think where you start tacking the way the pic shows, but I don't see where it will be welded permanent as there seems to be no grinding done yet.
Strong frame otherwise, just hope it has some wiggle room for dampening the unit vibration.

Yes I’m planning on using rubber isolators. The cage is plenty tall enough to accommodate the added height. I plan to have it sit on rubber feet as well as be clamped down on top with rubber isolators.
I’m planning on bolting it to the bus rather than welding it to the bus so it can be removed if necessary at some point in the future without cutting.

Looking good.
The only other thing I would like to suggest is some expanded metal to provide road debris protection or rubber flap protection if you happen to have a tire come apart.

You don't need to add extra framing to use the expanded metal.
You can actually bend the corners in the expanded metal to make a age to fit.
If you want to use that idea. Let me know I can explain.

Can’t remember who, but got the idea for the drill press from someone on here. Works like a charm!
Frame is super solid once bolted in. Too bad it has to come out again to get painted...

your units didnt have rubber isolaters in the box? all of mine came with them, they were part of the shipping materials but were designed to be used in the final installation. ..
this install is looking kickass just leave PLENTY of clearance for connecting your lines.. you cant have sharp corners.. they will kink.

Yep, they did come with isolator! Thanks for the encouragement! Everything is so simple in concept and turns into a can of worms in execution! thankfully I think it should be plenty of room because I don’t know how I would get more if I needed it.

This is all made a bit more complex by the fact that I’m trying to install two of these. The one closer to the back of the bus which is going in just in front of the rear axle has plenty of room around it. The one that I’m installing in the front is going more or less right underneath the driver. The one in front I think will have enough room for the Lines and everything but it’s a pretty tight space to work in and it has a lot of odd complexities with other components that are installed. After a lot of difficult rolling around in the dirt and holding heavy things on awkward spots on my body I was finally able to get all of the appropriate adjustments made and holes drilled. I’m finally ready now to clean prep and paint everything. Then the final install. If I’m lucky I may be able to get that done by the time the weekend is over. Then if I can find somebody who can evacuate the lines I should be really close to having working heat and air from these heat pumps.

trying to think when im going to florida again.. I just lleft nashville and am in columbus now.. I have the vacuum pump, gauges and adapters to evac and charge those lines.. the final charge out needs to be done wit hthe units running but the evac just needs the lines connected to the indoor and outdoor units
