Well got a microwave now! It was from the RV. Had to trim the shroud a little but I think fits nice!

Shelf was strong enough to hold me and the whole thing is screwed in since it is designed as a panel mount.

Ugh. Lack of ceiling trim is killing me! Gotta do it one of these days!

Got a link?

I still like the small 10gal tank. I won't have to drive Brunhilde down the road for a refill.

I hear you. I’ll plumb it so I can connect to an exchange bottle in a pinch.

The 15# or 20# exchange tanks are 3 or 4 gallons, so this one is about like 2.5 or 3 of those.

I have planned storage for three of the 20 lb tanks (which actually yield less than that).

I plan to link two together on a changeover switch, and keep a spare. That way, when a tank is empty I can change it at Wal-Mart so always have at least two full tanks available.

It's not the cheapest way to buy propane, but it is very convenient and I won't have to worry about getting the bus to a filling station.

Tractor Supply Company sells propane as long as they are open, 7 days a week.

I have been planning a tank similar to ddg's, but larger. I don't know how to post a link here, but Amazon has a FlameKing YS293 that holds 29.3 gallons. This tank is 48" long, but plans are for a MVP ER that has plenty of underfloor storage space. With 29.3 gallons, I won't worry about refilling it too often! (and it will be mounted for easy access at one of the belly hatch doors).

One cove finally done! Until now strips were just lying on the windowsills. To get more output I placed the leds on a strip of plywood screwed to the back of the 1x4.

Before.

Hopefully I have room to mount one of these also. On a 40'er I should have room.

Looks nice! I wouldn’t mind one of those! My bus has room but my budget...not so much.

Yup. Pretty pricey. I am looking at long term off grid boondocking. I saw your tank, and it caught my attention because of it's similarity, but much lower price.
Now I gotta figure out if I really NEED the larger tank, or could get by with the smaller one....
Bigger is better, usually?

I can certainly see a case for the bigger tank. I decided to just make sure it was easy to connect a 20# bottle if need be and see how it goes. It also depends on how much gas you use.

Ok, so now I have another question about your mini split. I see in the advertising that the condenser is pre-charged. Is there any provision to vacuum the lines and the evaporator unit before you open the condenser unit?

Looking at full stove/oven, propane water heater, and propane heating unit. Longer time between fills is a definite plus.

I hired someone to do that. We did a bubble test with nitrogen as well.

I don't know if it is similar around the country but here in WA almost all propane fill places charge $3-$3.30/gallon except Tractor Supply. They charge $1.80-1.90.

Don't be afraid to look at used LP tanks if they are from a quality mfgr. The DOT approved tanks ( such as Manchester) are extremely well made and can last for decades. And you can often save 50+% on a really good unit.

I'm sure it depends on the current price of LPG. The place I used to get LP from charged me $15 for a 20lb, and $20 for a 30b tank fill, whether the tank was empty or not. They closed early on sat. and weren't open on Sun. Then I found TSC sold it as long as they were open, 7 days a week. But it is sold by the gallon. I can't seen this before, always saw LP sold by the lb. So I started regularly getting it from them. Then their price went up this season to $2.90/ga. I went in to get some only to find they had run out before the coldest weekend of the year and weren't expecting more until the following Thurs. So I went to the other place and was surprised to see it at $2.15/ga. and that they were now using the gallon method and not the weight method. They fill it by weight and then charge for the amount.
