Actually it's 15/32 doubled up. The strips are 1.75" wide by 48" long. I cut them against the grain because they bend easier. I struggled with this for a while before I decided to go this route. I also misted them with water (both sides) before I put them up. I used Spax #10, 1-1/2" screws that I got at HD.
The two together equal just a hair under an inch and that will be plenty thick enough to attach my planks.
I'm also not so concerned about a thermal break at this point. The screws I'm putting in are going into the interior of the ribs (not touching the metal roof)which is surrounded by spray foam, have Reflectix and foil tape....so, it is what it is at this point and I need to move on.
Here's a pic...

That’s an interesting design and looks like it would work well. They old work box that I found at Home Depot is like $.80 and was very simple but worked.

I’m in an interesting situation because I have two units in the same space they can actually run opposite modes if I want to. I found it very effective although perhaps somewhat energy expensive to run one in the heat and the other in dry. That way one was bring the temperature up and the other with dehumidifying.

Once I got that cycle running for a little while it was pretty amazing as far as the overall control of humidity and temperature. After that first event even though I’ve had some cold and rainy days I haven’t had any more condensation moisture in the bus.

So far still very pleased!

That looks good. Are you putting insulation and a panel over the window?

What kind of fridge are you going with? We will fit a domestic fridge of about 10 cu ft.

Yes, I haven’t finalized the strategy but plan to leave the glass but to backfill it with insulation.

We have a Danby 7.3 cu ft domestic fridge.

I like how you're boxing that in. I'm going with a mini fridge because it's only me but you've given me a great idea to box it in and leave the space above in case I decide in the future to put something larger in. In the meantime I'll put shelves above for dry food storage etc. This also leaves the option for any future buyer to do the same without having to do any major work but to just take out the shelves.
I appreciate you taking the time to document and show off your work, which is awesome by the way! Love those outlet boxes too which I've saved to my Amazon wish list
You're working quickly!

Trying to be clever. Does sort of work. Enough to try anyway.

Should work great! I will put a shelf above ours as well and could be removed to fit taller fridge later.

Needs painted and trim, but here’s a shelf! Will probably add a lip at the front to discourage stuff from falling off. Door too maybe? Later...

Front and back of reflectix type stuff I got from the recycled RV.

Polyester insulation that used to be in roof. Breathes but doesn’t seem to mold or really hold moisture.

If you use a piece of cardboard (from all those Amazon items that keep arriving), you can fine-tune the curve before committing it to your finished piece.

good work on the fridge cubby... I wish everyone boxed their frig in (leave room for airflow).. in an accident, the frig is the most likely item to become a really dangerous projectile with a lot of mass ... keeping it contained would surely help with that!

You beat me to it. Make a cardboard template if you need to transfer it to several pieces. Get's it real close and then sand for final fitment.

Next thing in front of the fridge currently is the driver! Guess it is a good idea to restrain it!

Every time this comes up I think of the Prevost that I saw with the couch sticking out of the passenger side windshield. I know that there must have been a copilot seat in the way.

Be safe secure everything!!
