Wired up the tank monitor system. It came with absolutely no directions or schematics, which was a pain, but figured it out eventually.

Progress on the pallet wall as well.

Really helps that my wife is pitching in now!

Who has done a fluid and filter change on an MD3060? Any resources you could point me to or advice?

Shop looked at the bus yesterday and said fluid was still pink but that detergents were breaking down and should be changed before long trip.

According to service records it needed to be changed within about 8000 miles anyway so seems like I should go ahead and do it.

I've seen quite a few Youtube vids on this topic, but they're not coming to hand on a quick search. Poke around a little.

I've done a fluid change on my 2000. The worst part is the $50 gallons of fluid.

Did you load from a phone? Seems most of the issues we've seen have to do with mobile units (?).

Nope. I loaded from my desktop. I even deleted it and tried loading again with the picture rotated 90 degrees.

It did the smae thing yesterday with two of the pics I took of the new side skins.

From here on I will not load to the site again. I'll load them to SmugMug and post links.

Thanks! Anybody suggest a source for fluid? Should I use Transynd?

If you do you will be mixing Transynd probably with Dexron.

This is okay to do. However, don't try to get the extended mileage from the Transynd. Change it again at the regular interval. At that point you will pretty much be running all Transynd, and good to go for the extended interval.

Don't be paying for expensive flushes, which Allison warns against. Just drain and refill in the normal manner.

How many flapper discs did you go through while removing that rubber cement? We're almost at that stage now. Did you use dust masks or full on respirators?

Just masks, but something more effective wouldn’t hurt. I think two or three of the alligator discs from Walmart.

In hindsight, I wouldn’t have worried about getting it off if no rust. I would have painted right over it because the cement is clearly already very adhered and doing a good job of inhibiting corrosion.

Final coat of polyurethane.

Had to start from scratch because my sanding job wasn’t up to snuff. Took everything back through 80, 120, 220, 320 and it is a huge improvement. If doing the flood coat of epoxy it isn’t critical, but for polyurethane it has to be sanded very carefully.

Always such great work!!

I always wonder why folks have such a HARD time accepting that there are wheel wells in most buses. There are lots of creative, pragmatic uses of space and you've shown one great example!

Flat floors are cool and all, but I'd rather have full size tires and full suspension.
