Looking good. I like the multi-player. That should work great in your skoolie.

its hard to beat an 8 track. I used to own a 76 Caprice with one in it. I bought a bunch of 8 track tapes at goodwill, I loved it until one got jammed in there. I had to listen to the same 8 track over and over from then on. I begin to long for variety

Many years ago a friend of mine's car stereo once claimed my cassette copy of CSNY's "Deja Vu" for quite a long period of time. Great album, but after a while anything will get old.

True saying. But what's weird is I have yet to tire of Melonie of the 'Oesch's die Dritten' family.

I might be her greatest American fan.
This set was posted in 2009. Her newer stuff even makes me more enamored.
I hope Accordion Knows of these folks or gets to follow this link.

A beautiful girl with an amazing voice. A talented family. Those are diatonic button accordions which are similar to the ones that are used for playing Cumbia music, which is Mexican music.

I know what you mean.
I am a professional musician with music theory in college. I believe she is a living goddess(small G).

I am so sorry for this thread derailing and will, if it's ok with everyone, start a 'Oesch's die Dritten' thread in everything else.

Re: 87 Wayne Lifeguard international S1700 CXXVI

did some more work on the bus this weekend, unfortunately the light was bad so i couldn't get really good photos of all of it.

i built and carpeted the interior wall behind the drivers seat

i also installed the speakers into the section of metal i removed carpeted weeks ago. i should have enough room for a 32 inch flt screen between the speakers. do you guys keep or remove the big rear-view mirror? it only seems necessary for monitoring kids.if i remove it i will have more room for the tv.

i ran the wires in the the small section next to it through the wire chase, then i cut a square hole using my dremel for the media center.

i will have to build a frame out of wood to make up the difference in depth.

i also cut wood and covered the windows removed from the bedroom area, but i didnt get to carpet them, and i didnt have enough light to photograph them

Lookin' good...and will likely sound good too.

Lose the mirror but keep the visor. It can be hung from a couple of fabbed tabs. That big windshield lets in a lot of light & glare and decent sun visors that size are real pricey. I'm shopping around for the same type myself as an add on.

Re: 87 Wayne Lifeguard international S1700 CXXVI

If it will be possible to see out the rear of the bus a small mirror might be a good idea--we are all so acustomed to checking that location that we might miss something behind us while we refocus on the outside mirrors (of course real truck drivers would just laugh at us). Since it won't be possible to see out of the back of my bus I plan on installing a rear facing camera and putting the monitor where the inside rear view mirror used to be.

thanks, this is a good idea. i will keep the visor and mod up some tabs for it. i think im going to remove the big mirror and add a small one from a car. i would also like to get a backup camera.

Re: 87 Wayne Lifeguard international S1700 CXXVI

i started running wires for the media center in the bus, and ended up pulling the entire console apart and removing unused safety devices and flasher wires, i also tracked down mt coolant leak in the console and fixed it i think.

not sure what this is supposed to do, but all it does now is take up space:

i think this is my heated mirror device i accidentally disconnected last time in the console:

still messy, but less crowded in here

running the wires

2 of the 4 pieces of wood are mounted that will make up the frame for the media center
