Thanks jrtoubleshooter. its been a slow spring/summer with the bus, too much "regular" work and stuff life throws at you went on. hopefully the other half of the year we finally get this sucker done.

Here is a picture of really the only things done since the last udate. All clearance lights are in and down to DOT specifications. i just tested these front ones by running a quick pos/neg to the battery, they are not actually wired up with the rest of the bus yet.

we wont be able to make any gatherings in the bus at least until after dec-jan probably. gotta get a new set of tires before we had out on a real trip. As soon as its done, we're making it to every gathering we can.

we got the front and rear bumper painted with the final coat. all 4 mirrors installed, and removed the international emblem to paint and do touch-ups with primer to the hood. Soon the final paint for the bus body will come.

Interior wood purchased! went with cheaper and light weight - pine. All tongue and groove. 600sqft unit. should be enough for walls and ceiling.

restored our international emblem, painted it chrome to match the chrome grill that came with the bus. We're going to paint a bit before we put it back on.

Where'd you get a chrome frill for this style hood? I've been trying to find one for my red bus

International 4300 4700 4900 Grill - Stainless Steel Overlay - Raney's Truck Parts

Buses are 3000 series, trucks are 4000 series, but they have the same hood.

Chris - it came with our bus when we bought it, we were told this one was the only one in the fleet that had extra options like the acoustic ceiling, all tinted windows, and chrome accents. the old man that drove it for its entire lifespan had a hard time parting with it. lol. thanks wunderhut, was wondering if there was ever a replacement parts for those! looks like they just kinda pop over the original slats in the hood.

well we fabricated our deck. but got rained on just as we were finishing up today. Once its up top for good we will put the decking on. This is fashioned from leftover square tubes and two, six feet angle iron pieces and eight pieces of chain links for cargo straps to hook on.
It turned out to be way lighter than we thought and were able to easily lift it up and then back down again with two people and scaffolding for the height.

(unfinished photo)just testing out the cargo straps.

Lifting it up on top of the bus to check alignment with ribs.

got it to fit right on. 4 bolts on each leg, two on each side of the rib. had to do this step before we close off the inside completely then couldn't get nuts on the bolts!

Then our first coat of elastomeric paint went up. we should be able to squeeze out at least another 3 coats from this bucket. I hope. Should be seen in the picture above of the roof. even after the first coat we felt the roof in the heat of day with the sun beating on it and the inside metal was cold! it felt nice in there.

The last coat of the the elastomeric paint is on the roof and the deck is up for good after the final paint. The boards are in the final stages of stain/sealant right now.
Within the next two months the body and the trim will have the be painted as well, which will be where the white line is and everything below the gutter. Body will be - https://www.paintwithpearl.com/shop/...-pearls-paint/ and the trim (the rub rail deals, but not the ripples between them) will be black like the bumper.

The interior is looking somewhat completed now. Wiring and outlet boxes going in. there will be some AC sockets down below in the lower blue box and then a light switch the control the lights in the living room to the left of the window.

Early morning shot. the wiring is all where it needs to be and the bus is moving right along now. The only wires missing now are the solar panel wires and back up camera.

Night shot.

We made some really good progress on sunday, and saturday was a rain day so we only got a little bit done and then it turned into a supplies run day.

view of all the lights working in the dark. Powerful little LEDs lighting up the house red in the back.

view of the bedroom from the ground looking in through the back door.

unfinished toilet area

both walls are almost done.

Made some major steps this week in bus progress. Our 12v circuit block is in and ready to be wired, as well switches (on/off and on/off/on.) Then our back-up camera with 50' of video wiring and our radio/screen for the back-up camera is in the mail and on its way.

a shot of the 12v circuit which will have the defrosters, radio, marker lights, windshield wipers, 2 fans, a battery voltmeter with a usb charger panel, and a couple more things.

Ceilings is done and so are the major lights. these are 120v 10w LED's. only one is on in the pciture for a test.

the one light in the top of the frame here is off centered to be over the middle of the mattress.

New stereo with bluetooth, DVD and rear view camera capabilities. Back-up camera on the left. Also picked up a couple exotic pieces of wood.

Then I fabricated the chimney support box and covered it in high-temp paint.

Started construction above the driver. A large area in the middle and a smaller space off on the left hand side. The speakers for on-the-road driving are installed as well, 4 total, 2 are pictured here.

the rest of the bus and the other 2 speakers are pictured here. not very clean at the moment though.

Framed around the chimney support box, then insulated the first two bus ribs, then put the T&G paneling up. Half of the transition is done. There will be trim on the bottom and top of the transition, it will match the board that will hide the wire channel on the sides, and the window sill trim.
