Thanks! With the modular cabinets, we just couldn't see wasting space on the framing of walls.

Exactly, every wall eats up valuable inches. even if you frame on edge you still loose a few. I'm working with a 35' bus and have a garage for scooters and gear in the plan so I really like seeing these idea's.

The yellow paint is finally gone! It is all primed and we hope to paint it later this week.
Lots of friends and family have requested more photos and updates so we started a website for the bus with a blog and gallery. Please check it out.

I have AC!!
Its 95 degrees and 70% humidity today and for the next many days so timing was great.
It's a Dometic Brisk II 13.5k. Got it from rvpartscountry.com for $639 with the inside cover and heat strip. Just checked and the price jumped $45 today.

Here is the final floorplan for the Eternity bus. Most of the interior has been built in the last couple of weeks so this is how it all fits together.

Thanks. Not a big social media person but I do have a small woodworking/DIY youtube channel. I will be posting bus videos there soon but without the monologuing and drama.

This week we have been working on the painting. After primer everything was wet sanded before paint. We decided on Rust-oleum royal blue. It was mixed with Majic Catalyst Hardener and some acetone. The sprayer was a $22 Harbor Freight special. I am very pleased with how it turned out. In the picture you can see the reflection in the gloss finish.

If I may suggest..put a black line between the white and blue, not too thick, it will really sharpen the look.

Turned out great! I second the black line and maybe even go as far as doing all across the window area to blacken it out if you like the coach look. How did you get that paint so smooth? I am planning to have mine painted at an RV place since I didn't think a result like yours can be achieved being done at "home"
How is the AC working out? I was going to do mini splits but for ease of installation was thinking of doing two or three units like yours. I plan on doing 3-4" of spray foam in the ceiling. I raised the roof to accommodate the added insulation given my climate requires it.

The bottom is just primer but will be a light gray eventually. The top will be coated white and the windows will be gloss black like you said. We would like to do some kind of graphics down the side but that will be a while.
The great finish wasn't that hard. We lightly sanded the entire bus and primed it using spray cans. Next I hand wet sanded with 600 grit paper and this is what makes the final surface so smooth. The blue paint is Rust-oleum Professional that you can buy by the gallon at any big box store. It was thinned with acetone per the label for spraying. I added Majic hardener per the instructions and it claims to increase the gloss and hardness. The sprayer was a basic cheap $22 one from Harbor Freight. Thats it, nothing overly complicated.
The AC works great and we will be adding a 2nd to the rear later. It has the heater kit so he is free when there is power. Like you I was thinking about mini split but eventually decided to make my life easy and do the rooftop. If the roof was raised we would have done a ducted system.

I am wondering about a ducted system. I did raise the roof. So much to think about. We just decided on a floor plan yesterday. My wife was out there measuring the interior while I was welding up window openings with new square steel tubing. Incidentally, I ran out of steel tubing. Home Depot has 4' sections for $27 each where I can get them at my steel supplier for $13 for a 10' stick. Crazy. I decided to hold off on progress until I can get more metal tomorrow.

That paint job looks fantastic!
Hey, do you still have that roof hatch you deleted? Yours look like the same type as mine and I've been trying to find an extra.

Yes, please! Just the hatch part including the hinge; I don't need the part with the goop on that screws into the roof (the hatch hinge can be unbolted from this).

The hatch is fairly heavy, but most of the weight is that black metal vent that's riveted into it. This would be a bit of a pain, but if you cut that vent out of the hatch, what's left weighs a lot less and would be a lot cheaper to ship (I'll pay for shipping and whatever you want for the hatch). I plan to cut the vent out anyway (it might be easier to knock out the rivets holding it in, but maybe not).
There's no hurry on this.

That is a superb finish. Like you said, the prep work with the 600 grit paper is what does the trick.
