Thanks! It's enjoying the journey with all of this. I'm good with sharing what I can. Files are spread all over. Just send me a PM when you get to something you're going to be making.

Power

Geni is a Cummins Onan QG 4000... It's small light and sips fuel. USA Made, and quiet. If the generator is running and load demand gets close to its max, the controller/inverter will suppliment power from the battery to meet needs. With so much battery storage, and solar power... I'm not sure how much use the geni is gonna get... But its there.

Kids got skills!

My daughter is on spring break and wanted to help out with BOB.... Turns out she's got some finishing skills! She got trim work up on overhead storage... She ran rough sawn wood through the planer, tablesaw, then miter saw to get to where it is now!

Proud dad moment!

Feels like it's taking forever. Seems like everywhere you turn there's something that can't be done until the something else gets done. Never ending circle. But I'm having fun!

Solved the puzzle...

Kids have been helping a lot this week. Proud to have a 13yr old boy that can plans, measure, cut, and set finish work like this!

My daughter wanted to do something different for the wall next to her bunk... She stained some old barnwood, lasercut puzzle pieces from it, and it turned out pretty cool.

Hung the ceiling panels... I still wanted a little arch to keep the bus look... We ran mounting strips of 1/2" 9 ply baltic birch... Lids are 5ply Baltic Birch, 4mm thick. Great mix of strength, weight, and finish. We'll be doing bondo on screws, fiberglass tape seams....

LOL, I've done a lot of things... Medical, Defense, and aerospace somehow croosed and pulled me in. Commonality is that I've always looked for a reason to do or make something myself rather than buy it... Pick up tools and skills along the way.
You and I would get along just fine lol.

Lol... I hate sleeping. I just think of all the stuff I could be doing. My neighbor swings by everyday to see what's happening in the shop and asks what I'm going to do with all my free time after bus is done.... I say that's wrong question... What am I going to do with all this free space is what I'm thinking!

We got a break in weather, so rolled back the tent to get some sheet metal done!

This looks really ugly from above, but it's on purpose.... I really didn't want to spray insulation foam from inside... So we've pretty much completed everything inside out. Last step is to finish inside ceilings, then spray foam into voids from outside.

Tried tarps first, but they just blew off and let condensation drip inside. Plus snow would gather and melt in the roof cutouts...

So welded "A" frame to top, steep enough for snow to slide off, and condensation to roll down to outside....

Here's the outside of shower and how Sheet metal transitions from rear raise to center raise.

I really dig the laser cut wood. My 4.4kw CO2 laser is due in around July/August so I might try to do some cutting with it for the bus. Its a Bystronic so all the parameters are for steel/aluminum cutting as I own a custom fabrication shop, but I know it can cut wood if I write some of my own parameters.

Love the ingenuity here though. I'll be keeping tabs on this project

Thanks man, appreciate it. 4.4kw... Crap loads of fun. That's some serious metal processing... I've got a 180w CO2 that I did this on. It's got O2 assist for cutting metal.... But limited to 18g on it. My plasma table makes up in the power dept, but I love the precision of the laser. My little 50w fiber laser is just for engraving and images on pew pews.

Morning of drilling and cutting.... At least the bus is so big you can see both sides at the same time.... Having to do it a little different over here.

Vent over stove has to get to outside air... Using the original perforated metal from interior ceiling on outter face of this section. That sheet metal part seals outside from in. Still have a tiny cabnet go drop in, but needed to get to area to rivet and caulk first.

Plasma cutter and CAD makes it come together 1st try on most stuff. Scap pile is almost nonexistent.
