Lightbulb Bathroom Location Options

I really want my bathroom in the back of my 2004 Bluebird 3800 series. I haven't seen any layouts with the bathroom in the back. I have seen a video of young couple from Australia that did just that. It was a great design and gives more of a full bath look. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Welcome to the forum. Sorry I can't really help you with your question. I have a rear engine, so my bedroom is going in the back, and the shower and toilet are just in front of the rear axle. And if I had a front engine I would want storage in the back, accessible from either outside through the rear door, or from the inside through a door in a wall that would prevent things from falling or sliding forward during a braking incident.

In my opinion, storage in the back is the only reason for having a front engine, but there are diverse opinions on this site, and I am confident someone will have some suggestions for you.

Find the most suitable location for your black and gray tank under the bus for ease in plumbing the drains needed. Bathroom can then go almost directly above that area.

I think that's very good advice, and it applies to either FE or RE.

My bathroom is going in the back. Just watch clearances, on mine the exhaust pipe pops over the rear and comes down the one side so no tanks can go there and you have to position the toilet hole between the cross members underneath. Tanks should go as close to the axle as possible.

If you complete your profile with your bus year, make model, length etc we can help you some more.

I've seen one rear bath, next to the 54" wide, standard double bed in the back of a shorty. they used a Thetford wet-bath with cassette toilet, which was 27" wide and something like 39" long.
