I’ll have to check into pipes or line covers. Neither was on my radar.

Great progress there and your bus is looking fantastic.
You must be getting excited to get to the interior finishing stage.
Keep up the good work.

Oh yeah. I am super impatient now to get to the real walls, paint, floor and more. If only I could quit changing my mind on the floor plan. Haha!

Box it out and turn it into a coat rack?

Great job on your bus, don't worry about the floor plan changing... It'll change right up until the time it's done...

Have to find a truck to use before I get more wood so we painted one of the emergency doors. I’m liking the blue.

Question, did you folks put the final flooring in before or after you finished the walls? I plan on using vinyl flooring if that helps.

I'm not planning on putting in the final flooring until I've lived in the bus for a year. 100% chance I'll trash it otherwise.

Vinyl plank and laminate flooring should be installed last, they need to be able to have some ability for expansion so you do not want them trapped or nailed down by your walls or cabinets.
Work is looking good, keep at it.

If you use vinyl roll goods as flooring use the dense hard kind nor the soft squishy kind. The soft stuff snags and tears easily.

Huge progress has been made. The bathroom is built for the most part. We put in an old dresser that will be the kitchen sink, painted that and started working on the bathtub area.

Good to see you are still at it. Is that the kitchen sink in the back window?

The kitchen sink is on the left looking towards the back. It’s just in front of a black wall. That back area is going to be the bed with a reading nook over the engine. I’ll try to take some better pics this weekend.

After 2 weeks of virtually no bus work we finally got to work finishing the outside of the bathroom. Still a little more to finish on it but it’s turning out pretty good.

Many projects nearing completion. Still need to figure out the bathroom door, finish framing the bed, put seats in the dinette and a few more. But it’s nice to see a light at the end of the tunnel.

I used a folding accordion door, magnet holds it closed, Velcro strap holds it open and out of the way. Simple, flexible, cheap and durable, mine has been working for 15 years. Of course you can't lock it closed but why is that important if you are all family. A solid door is a pretty dangerous thing in a moving vehicle, plenty of ways to get hurt if it doesn't stay in place.

Curious about your ceiling materials. Did you leave the factory ceiling, foil faced bubble wrap then paneling? Looks great so far especially with no prior power tool experience.

Thanks! It is the thin foil type insulation then Luan plywood. I used the 4 x 8 sheets but cut them in half to bolt them up there. There is a visible seam but it doesn't bug me. The painting still has a way to go but that is being done by my daughter who lives a couple hours away.

Hi, This is amazing progress! I really like your artistic approach to it all! I can't wait to see the end result... My fiance and I just started looking for our Bus and it seems to be a rare thing to find but it is what you found! ( size, engine, tranny) I am curious as to how you came to find yours? any response would be greatly insightful and helpful thanks!
