Started on the plywood subfloor. I have leavened that I suck at precise measurements. Ha! Oh well. Luckily no one will see the edges.

It looks like you're already doing this, but just in case: you want to leave a small gap between the edge of the plywood and the bus wall (or the step wall), maybe 1/8" or so. This will allow the plywood to expand in hot/humid weather without causing any warping problems.

Last emergency hatch is out! Started working on a reading nook over the rear engine. Once it’s done it should be nice, dark and goth like.

We are going to have some cool gothic lanterns and twinkle lights. I have a cool vibe planned that will suit my offbeat style.

Right now I’m planning to use that handicap door for an outdoor shower. We’ll see though. Yesterday I started laying down my floor plan and then started changing my mind a million times.

That door would make a really great place for a slide out kitchen nook. You may want to keep that cat. I hear they make great shower mats if you just flatten them out a bit.

Poor kitty!!!
I actually don’t have the best construction skills so can’t do a slide out kitchen but that is a good idea.

In my book, that's exactly what the blue tape is designed to flush out!

The thin layer of insulation over the metal ceiling is done!! Next step, plywood before a fun finish. Though I need to buy a roof vent before I close everything off.

Very nice bus, and those seats are nice. Any unique plans around the side door where the wheel chair lift is? Good luck with it all. Looks like you're just under a year since your purchase!

I’ve always planned to use that space as an outdoor shower. I’m not going to be living in my bus. It will be used for camping on weekends and as a mobile yarn/crochet store.
When I first started looking for buses I saw pictures of someone using that space to plan a shower and I thought it was a great way to save on interior space.

Framing doors and a prob with hoses
More complicated than I thought to frame out the emergency doors but I came up with something that works for me!
Though here is my question. Did any if you have AC hoses running up the wall that you kept? If so, how did you cover them? I thought about building out a box like contraption that will stick out from the wall. But if there is a better idea I’m all for it.

Three or four inch pvc pipe cut in half? Could also use the couplings to make the bends if needed. Then it could be painted to match the theme of your build.
