It looks kinda like the one I am sitting in right now... Only better cushioned. I like that you have the choice of two seatbelt ends that you can plug into...

Nice seats. That is a steal of a price. I just bought two brand new 2008 take out buckets with cloth out of a Honda minivan. I paid $130, but you definately out scored me on those.

did you doctor that up of is that really of your bus going head to head in a performance competition. if there was one i hope that pass. capacity was heavy scored cause my bus is pretty slow compared to almost any regular car.

Nice upgrade on the seat! I was thinking of changing mine out but it is still comfortable & may just go with a bucket seat cover... That is a photoshop cover shot!

Re: "Big Bird" 93 Bluebird TC2000 FE 40 ft
Excellent photos! Could you show where/how you fastened the other side of the sliding bolt?
What kind of fasteners did you use to secure the metal plates? Are they rivets? Screws? Bolts? I see they didn't go all the way through the door and am curious.
If they are bolts or screws, did you add any glue to the process to keep any vibrations from working them out?
Are you going to put a handle on the outside to make it easier to pull open?
I know... questions questions questions...
Keep up the good work!

Re: "Big Bird" 93 Bluebird TC2000 FE 40 ft
Nice job. I still cant figure out what to do with my door. Mine is the air operated "barn door" style. I thought about doing something similar to what you did but I would have to join the center together and take the hinge off of the left side. But my problem is, I don't want mine to look like a bus door.

Looks Great Big Bird! I have the same question, how did you fasten the bracket without going thru the door?
tfdfyrman - I am in the process of figuring out what to do with my doors - I have the same air doors you have & will probably combine them as one... I disconnected the air linkage already, just gotta get the left door off the hinges to combine the two...

Re: "Big Bird" 93 Bluebird TC2000 FE 40 ft
I wanna geuss! i think it is whats known as a "Wig Wag"
it drops down when the air pressure drops along with the noise and the light on the dash for most busses or air brake equipt vehicles.
is that it???
Also dash looks good! i wish mine wasn't plastic and i will prob rebuild it out of wood.

I don't miss living in Orlando... it is a 24/7 city... & driving Big Bird in it, oh joy! (kinda like driving Buster home from Tampa during rush hour)
I am kinda scared to wire up the stereo... my electrical panel looks like a nightmare when I open the outside access door!

12V outlets come in all shapes sizes and forms. You can get single double tripple and so on, some even have USB and ipod connection to charge your modern multimedia things. You can find them in any auto parts store. Easy to install to, just 2 wires 1 to go to a 12v circuit one to ground. You can find a 12 v that is only on when ignition is on or one that will be on even when bus is turned off, up to you.
