Lightbulb Bus Naming Ideas?

Hey everyone,

I'm slowly getting my Skoolie done. I'll post more pictures shortly.

I just got the rooftop AC/heat unit delivered, ready to install it when it warms up down here in Florida. I also got the heater that runs alongside the driver side out, since I was afraid of that hose leaking at some point, and ruining my bus.

Mike, with Navigationnowhere, has inspired most of my ideas for my Skoolie, mostly because of the style of bus we use is the same, but also because I liked his floorplan and layout. I will other be incorporating other ideas that I've liked, such as diamond plated aluminum on the steps and drivers platform ;) and have chosen to go with LED strip lighting in my bus.

I just have one question for everyone out there...what do I name my Skoolie? I plan on her having a black base coat (bottom of the windows down), a white roof, and maybe a gray/silver trim to separate the two colors. Although that isn't for sure yet, I know that comes in handy when naming sometimes. I prefer not to use Skoolie or bus in the name, just because I want an actual name for her. I like Mike's choice of Navi (short for Navigationnowhere, as everyone knows).

Thanks!

I couldn't build mine without the help of an inheritance, so I'm naming it Mother, and besides, Cannabus was already being used.

Okay, I seriously have to admit, I laughed out loud on that one.

I may just be the first 18 year old to buy and build a bus, by the ways guys. You tell me.

BlackJohn (since I don't yet know anyones names, and I'm not yet established here,

My first thought was Midnight, which I'm still unsure of, which is why I'm asking for ideas

I was looking through the forums and liked Aluminum Eagle, but it just doesn't fit. I like your idea for The BlackCat, but it still doesn't seem to fit right. I feel we're on the right track though.

Thanks for your ideas and thank you for welcoming me!

My girlfriend ruefully calls my bus The Mistress, because I spend more time with her than with her.

Did you ever see the website for Wothahellizat, an Australian RV made from a 6x6 army truck? That's a great name for something like that.

Be careful of internet naming polls. The British almost ended up naming their new research vessel "Boaty McBoatface" after taking a poll of its citizens.

How about "Silver Bullet" ... makes it sound fast.

You said you were thinking of black from the windows down and white on top. With a little checkerboard pattern you could make it look like a "Patty Wagon."

I loved Boaty McBoatface. At least that name made it onto that little sub.

I think I've seen PorkChopSandwiches build. Looks fantastic! Seeing that is what told me I could do it at my age.

Boaty McBoatface sounds funny, lol, but not for mine. Lol, not even bussy mcbusface [emoji23]

I like Silver Bullet, as you said it sounds fast, however my bus isn't fast lol

Don't plan on doing a checkerboard or chess board, but that'd look kinda cool [emoji41]

Nothing wrong with it. Just some of the Scottish McBoat clan thought their family name was being used in jest.

Yeah, I have to agree that a checkerboard pattern might look a little like someone's backsplash over their sink.

I haven't seen Neandergeek yet. I hope you are aware that a great deal of the general public thinks of a silver bullet as the shot you get to cure a STD. Just sayin.

Actually I never heard that, what "general public" have you been hanging out with to have that personal knowledge?
I was picturing a Coors Light can.

It's a common term in the military, especially overseas. Don't worry, not that many people have been in the military.
