Can we save the Coolant Reservoir Tank?!?!

We've realized this bad boy is totally drained (some of which we did when shortening the hose) we also noticed this wasn't plugged under the reservoir tank (see picture that looks somewhat trippy) is there something we should be capping this with? Also, can we save this tank? Do you think it can be brought back to life? Maybe a few coolant flushes (Distilled water and such)

I'm guesssing since yours is the first fs65 I've seen here with the MB engine.
All the other fs65's I've looked at/seen pix of have a metal coolant reservoir.

Still, metal or plastic -- it's a pressurized reservoir so that means if the res. gets over-pressurized the fluid has to go somewhere -- generally, it spews out on the ground via that clear tube you found with no cap on the end...

If the plastic isn't brittle, you can remove the tank and wash it out however you like but I'd avoid any harsh solvents.

I’d just try water, but if there is significant buildup, and water doesn’t work, maybe distilled vinegar or CLR cleaner?
