Yeah, at first I thought you had an aluminum step box. How cool would that be, electrically isolated of course. Though it might munch easier on a grounding.

I painted my floor silver. Yours looks so much better. Then I put the pink XPS down too early because I am still walking over all that pink instead of the shiny metal.

Come Monday

I used rustoleum fence paint since the floor mostly galvanized. I didn’t want to complete the floor until I fixed all the links[emoji37]

Thanks. I’m 6’ 2” and I still have about 4.5 inches of headroom in center. I’m going to add 1.5 to floor and something on the ceiling but I don’t think the ceiling will be more than half inch thick. I really had no idea it was a high roof. Just glad I could fit in it.

What did you use to seal the seams?

What typeof paint are you planning to use for the exterior paint?

I cut out all old caulk with putty knife and then wire brushed and finally wiped down with paint thinner. I used dynatron seam sealer and recaulked.

I bought 4 gallons of almond rustoleum for the outside. But I have a lot of patching up and prep to do first. I’ll be riveting on patches. I don’t have a concern how it looks and I always thought bondo covered up hidden rust. With the riveting I’ll be able to see if rust develops

Not sure what paint I’ll use for inside yet

That color should look pretty good.

It’s the color of my first VW Vanagon westfalia. At the time that was plenty of room. But Obviously I’ve moved up in size. [emoji1]

First coat of paint for the front and rear. The weather and my ability to do this mostly by myself force me to do these things in sections. I’m using a roller and brush against what my self proclaimed expert painter friend told me. As far as I’m concerned this is just a big metal house so I’m treating it that way as far as paint goes. Looks good from a distance - I may have to start dating your bus!

Whereabouts in Ohio are you? I apologize if I asked you this already (I'm a buckeye not-quite-by-birth since we moved there when I was two months old).

Yeah, she’s a twenty footer. With the rivets and brushed on paint she looks good from 20 ft[emoji1].

I live in Akron.

Too bad this virus caused the may 4 memorial concert with joe Walsh to cancel. I was looking forward to that show.

After thinking about this comment I guess I feel guilty saying it with all the deaths this virus has caused.

Was going to get some help with the roof because I’m a little unsteady up there. But I’m going to give it a go myself. Raining and cold here so I have to work with the weather.

Looking great. This is very heartening to see, as I'm planning to paint mine the same way (even the same color, I think).

I like the rustoleum almond color. It really covers well. I’m only putting on two coats and I think I’ll have used almost 3 gallons of paint total. I have one last coat to put on roof and I still have half of the third gallon left
