Conversion almost complete!
Here's our rig. Our beloved is almost finished in time for the beautiful PNW Summer. I'd love to get people's input, thoughts, comments as it will be departing our family soon. We think we did a nice job, but we're biased of course.

O.k. we are very jealous after looking at those pictures. That is a great job of woodwork with the pallets and a lot of great craft ideas for the whole family to be involved with too! Those will be great memories for the kids as they become adults and decide how they will live. Congratulations! I hope you enjoy the rest of the time in it just as much and pass it along to the next lucky family or person to enjoy! Too bad you can't rent it out like you did your house.

OMG, you guys did an incredible job on that bus. It's very unique and absolutely lovely. I think this may be one of the best conversions I've seen. Well done!!!

Thank you everyone! I think we 're a little nervous right now, wondering if the price is appropriate, but getting such wonderful feedback really helps. And Yes! There is a lot of heart put into this rig!!!

Thank you! We will make sure to enjoy the last summer days on the water. Unfortunately a winter in MN would have meant a different insulation plan... We made it to match the coastal weather.

The property is a friends of ours. We were able to stay for up to 3years as caretakers for both it and a community access. We originally were going to do so for the full length of time and then purchase our own property. However, all of our family is back in MN and after finishing medical school, we believe that's the best place for us.

Make good money and have a lower out of pocket each month, living somewhere other than North of VA???

The title... "Conversion almost complete".. Is that even POSSIBLE?!? I thought taking on a bus conversion was akin to taking on the infinite. Never to be completed, only to be incrementally improved.
Very nice bus I've been pondering ways to incorporate old pallet wood and the like. I'll be stealing some of your ideas, I reckon.

LOL!!! Yes, I think it is possible - or at least we'll know very soon! I think they can be infinitely improved and tinkered with, but I like to get things done and then enjoy them - I'm not a tinkerer! Which is why I decided not to add the water bays and pump underneath. Sweet idea - but that may be the sort of never-ending additions that you're referring to. And YES! PALLETS are AMAZING! We've gotten some pretty sweet colors and rustic looking pieces. A pain in the arse at times, but very cozy feeling afterward mixed in with the cedar strips. Steal ideas away - that's what we did!

Haha! Yes - at -40, we would've neede 2" of pink insulation, a wood burning stove and some sort of double pane system... then where would be put all the snow-gear....oh, goodness! Thanks for the compliments!

Lovely lovely bus and an adorable family! As another PNWesterner (Hopefully around Skagit pretty soon) just pursuing your pictures makes me weak in the knees. I'm most likely still a few years out from being in a place to start my bus journey but goodness builds like this have me dreaming. Great job!
