Cosmic Charlie - IC CE200 Build

Howdy y’all!

Been lurking for a bit around here, figured I would document my build! Picked up a 2004 IC CE200 w/a T444e and Allison 2xxx series transmission. I like the T444e since a drove a 7.3 powerstroke for years and I’m “used” to how it feels

We are still finalizing a floor plan, but have begun the demo. Learning tons from these forums and excited to share! We are considering living full time in the bus, so we are building accordingly. I will post my floor plan soon and continue posting throughout. Thanks!

Nice looking bus. Good score on the 2000 series transmission.

I do have to be a little bit jealous of anyone who has a garage big enough for your bus to fit.

Looking forward to your build.

Thanks!

I’m renting the shop, needed a few months indoors during the winter. I actually had to let some air out of the tires to get it in! Mostly because the ground outside is uneven. Plenty of space inside to work but I’ll have to move it out before I can add anything to the roof(solar).

Do you plan on removing the ceiling panels and insulating that and the walls? Important if you plan on living in it.

Yeah I’m tearing everything out. I’ve got all the old skin off, just working on the cockpit.

I’ll be insulating with closed cell foam for walls and ceiling and rigid foam on the floor.
