Crawler Hauler

Hey everyone my names josh, new to the site. Wanted to introduce myself and put up a build thread of my project.
Anyways been building for about 4 months in my spare time. 1990 Blue Bird with a DT360. Building a toy hauler of sorts, removed 7ft of the body and currently building a custom dovetail flatbed. I have a lot of questions regarding utility systems and such. Seemed like the right place to come for some answers.

Thanks, it’s been an exhausting amount of work so far. 90+ degree weather with Florida humidity has been a challenge!

Sweet set up, love the RZR.
How tall is the RZR from ground to top of cage? ...wondering if it would fit in mine.

Kinda doin' the same thing but different. We're puttin' two ATV's inside so we have a little more inside storage.

Gotta colour picked out for the skoolie yet?

I’d have to get back to you on the height of the RZR, I’m 6ft and just slightly taller than the cage. Going with a Sahara/desert tan on the body.

Scored a good deal on a used hood for the bus, needs some repair around the hinge mounts but saves me the pain of rebuilding the huge chunk missing from the fender. Also spent some time with my wife teaching her to TIG weld on the generator mount I’m fabricating. She had a blast learning, keeping her involved has been key to moving this project forward.

I have never tig welded, do you get arc burn from tig?

Made some solid progress last weekend. Got my generator mount fit to the frame rails and got the old tail light/license plate holes covered. Picked up another load of steel on Monday, have a full weekend ahead of me! Can’t wait to get the flatbed done so I can start on the body and the fun stuff.

Anyone have any recommendations for vent fans? Looks like maxxair has a decent fan.

A lot of people recommend the FantasticFan, but I find it cost prohibitive when the Maxxfan can be had for half the price. Mine has 10 forward speeds and auto rain closure. All working off a remote for in the $150 range. Can be wired using the existing hatch alarm wires.

This one sucks, don't buy it. I installed two.
