Gem bus update

Got some help from talented friends in July so progress was much better that imagined.

Primed all the sheet metal, got the roof raised 11.5", rub rails on, chopped off one step (for ground clearance), welded the doors into a single unit. Working on the front transition...

A Diablo metal cutting blade on a skilsaw worked great for cutting the bus skin.

There is now a platform as a first step which will make a nice sitting place, that first step so close to the ground had to go!

Roof raise complete also raised the door frame.

Total man hours around 330
Metal bill was around $1700
Rivets used: 1020 1/4" and 840 3/16"

Next thing to do is window deletes and door handle/lock.
