Gettin these seats out
Just drove my new 2006 international IC RE300 (said pb305 on auction) home from Ohio. Only 28,000 miles. Drives amazing and smooth. Already in love with this beauty. Got it home and all the seats out already, all stacked in the back currently . Gonna store em today. Are they worth money? Also gonna take the wheelchair lift out at some point and wondering how much it is worth. It seems like a really nice one. This whole bus is in prestine condition. After the seats are unloaded , gonna start taking walls, floor, and ceiling apart. I’ll post pictures up on this thread. Engine info:::::International : INTL DT466 HT 225HP/2400 GOV EPA 2004, 225HP 620 lb-ft Torque @ 1400 RPM, 2400 RPM Governed Speed, # 2 Bell Housing

Has the mileage been verified, not unusual to have the speedos replaced regularly in buses. Seats are usually worthless. Some have listed them on CL for $10 or so and make take some time to get rid of. You can put them on the curb with a "FREE" sign and hope they goo away on their own. I decided to pull the covers, easy to do, and then take them to salvage for around $60. Used wheelchair lifts might bring $100-$300, but often they are just given away.

Regarding the lift...check with some local disabled Vets groups. A few have been mounted on vehicles and even at houses to help those guys & gals get around.

The seats are around $60 in scrap, IIRC. The copper tubing in the heaters weighs a whole lot less but fetches around $10 per heater.
Holy heck, I just read o1marc's reply. We must go to the same scrapyard.

Right now scrap metal is paying $5/100lbs, cars are paying $5.5/100lbs, and aluminum is paying $.40/lb

Where are you located? I realized after scrapping all my seats that I should have kept one frame for attaching my passenger seat over the wheel-well. Now I either need to build a new frame or find a used bus seat from someone else.

I guess not completely . It’s weird , the original title says MILAGE: EXEMPT . which I thought was weird but odometer fraud ain’t no joke . I think it’s actually 28000 , as the bus was a summer camp bus and only used 3 months per year , but I will try to contact someone to confirm that.

Find a local transportation company that uses lifts. they usually have a pretty good mechanic that could be am awesome help to you later. Just an idea, also that lift could come in really handy down the road.

I got $400.00 for my lift. Used an engine hoist to remove it and load it on a dolly.

My bus is nearly identical! I have an '02 RE3000, which although is named differently (and badged differently too for that matter) is basically the same vehicle. If you have any questions about how ive done stuff, ive gotten somewhat far along on my conversion so feel free to ask!
I even had a lift as well, and i ended up giving it away for free on craigslist
what trans? i have the same engine too

I would love to have the lift mid way instead of in the back! And I agree, this bus is pristine! May I ask how much you paid for it? I'm thinking of trading/selling mine for a center lift model.

My 2001 International 3000 had about 60 seats and I got just a hair shy of $40 for mine here in MN

If you get rid of the wheelchair lift, please let me know! I live in Michigan and I would not mind replacing mine.
