How's this for a unique conversion option....

Check this thing out - great lines. Somebody buy his thing and turn it into an RV.

Revcon horse motorhome:

Looks like an old GMC motorhome with a horse trailer grafted on.

Negative. It is a Revcon, which is a different brand of front wheel drive motorhome.
Cool vehicle, regardless.

Who was it that's new here and has slept in his horse trailer a time or two and was looking for input on what to get? I just read it yesterday!

The Revcon, like the GMC and Cortez moho's, all used the Oldsmobile Toronado 455 V-8 and THM 425 transaxle for their power package.

I seriously doubt it has a 454 if the engine is original.

I actually think someone paid Revcon to graft a horse box onto a production moho. It actually doesn't look too bad.

Coach built horse boxes are the norm in England but they never have seemed to catch on in this country.

I like the looks.
I wonder how much floor and chassis damage there is from all those years of horse pee.

Later Revcons used a longitudinal mounted engine and "normal" rear drive transmission, and a transfer case set up to only power the front (solid) axle.

I have seen book mobiles using that setup. If you want to convert to 4*4 then it might be a good start.

Later j.

That setup appears to still have independent front suspension.
Maybe a 1988or newer 3/4 or 1 ton GM 4x4 front axle and suspension.
