It has begun

Well, the project, has started. It's a bit daunting seeing how much there is still to come, but it's licensed, and insured, and all but one of the seats are removed. I did a sketchup drawing of my planned layout, and taped it out to see how it flows, and am pretty happy, although I'm sure there will be changes. One question if you happen to have any ideas, I have a light on my panel that flashes constantly, and don't have a clue why.

The red light is for one of a couple of things.

First it might be a pilot light for your crossover lights. If the master switch is activated your crossover lights will turn on every time the service door is opened.

Second, it might be a warning light that one of the emergency exits is open. If it is it usually is paired with a buzzer but not every time.

If it isn't one of those two things I will have to ponder what it might be indicating.

It appears as if you have found a pretty nice bus.

Thanks! I'll definitely follow up on those ideas, might be an emergency exit that has a bad switch, hadn't thought of that.. now back to pulling up rubber flooring haha

So I have begun pulling up the floor, and it seems that I don't have any metal, just plywood on the frame. It's pretty soft, so I'm going to replace it and spray seal the bottom again the way it was originally, but I was wondering about the rest of the floor. 3/4 ply on the bottom, 1" foam, then flooring sound like enough insulation?

I was looking at foamboard yesterday at HD and I've decided to go with 1"which has an R value of 5...if I go any thicker I'm afraid I'll lose valuable height. Another option I'm contemplating is to spray foam under the bus....just covering all the areas I can get to.

Been working alot recently so just got to start tearing out side panels. All the rivets along the top and sides of the wall panels drill out in seconds but the ones on the bottom seem like they're made of adamantly. Any neat tricks I don't know? The ones that suck are not hollow and the pin will not punch out.

I had to use the angle grinder and make an 'X' in the center and tap it out with a cold chisel and hammer. I also found those along the bottom really tough!
