Love the chairs. They are hard to find anymore. We need some decent lightweight folding chairs (with armrests) I want to get some (or make some) once we get back east. Flea markets and yard sales suck out here for stuff like that. I also need to get a folding table to use for outdoor eating. It's hard to grill outside here, much less eat outside ( lousy gale force winds). The park we are in has..... FIBERGLASS PICNIC TABLES!!!!!!!!!! I made the mistake of sitting on them once... had to take a shower to get the tiny fiberglass hairs that stuck thru my jeans and into the backs of my legs and tuches. Is it us or are campground picnic tables getting ickier than they used to be? And some places don't even have tables.

Re: La Tortuga...updated 08-24-14

a little update, saturday was busy and today I hope to finish 90% of the plumbing...and then hookup water and see if there are any leaks

roughed in toilet and sewer lines as well as a hole in side of bus for my periscope

front bumper painted

she was prepping forehead for paint

rear starting to get some paint

ran lines to passengerside of bus

this shows vent location and mocked up 3"" line (it will exit otherside, pipe was still long)

and after along hot day we relaxed on the porch....Victory picture

c-ya'll in a few more hours...burning day light

Re: La Tortuga...updated 08-31-14

so today was a beotch....waited until 12:30 to go to local hardware store, since I forgot a few things...3 trips later @ 24 miles round trip...I still didnt have the right stuff...argh...argh..at lowes I got all the white 3" pvc stufff I thought I needed...nope

Went and grabbed 3 pcs of 3" 90* at local store, didnt measure...got home...setup station...shiat too big put evrything up incase of rain; went back and got 3 more smaller ones that said 3 inch.....guess what? somebeotcheezze were to small...I was pissed....I googled and found out there is a thinner wall 3" ID pvc...who in the hell doesnt do over-kill???

So I did a bunch of other stuff including!!!!!!

more turtles for the front back and sides baby...

and while I was at it

PIMP wine glasses for visiters to the bus

BC if you come to visit and do "a wine tasting event" (we do them whenever friends show up with wine...5 or 6 bottles open and passing around)...you can take 1 back to Cali'

Goes for any Skoolie we come across and partake in the feast of grapes

me trying one out...notice new baby turtles?

in the AM I will head to NC and Lowes, get what I need....and finish the plumbing...fingers crossed

I LOVE,LOVE, LOVE the colors of "La Tortuga" The interior of "The Breeze" is Aqua, lime green, battleship grey & dark brown" (would post pictures if I can ever figure it out) Friends call it"Miami Vice---hippyfied" and I would love her to look like "The Turtle" on the outside.

Hey Bansil, the hide-a-toilet shelf and drape is a very clever idea and a great use of space. Who says there have to be walls for a bathroom? You've got me thinking about how one might design a complete bathroom around a multi-use area without permanent walls. Jack
