Lady Liberty Tour bus convertion

1942 Gillig school bus on a Chevy chassis
Was used in CA until it was shipped to the UK and repainted for Captain America film.
After filming it was auctioned, I got it instead of an Airstream and fitted it out with:
New tyre, wiring
Then fitted new floor and English Rose kitchen units ( made from aluminium left over from making Spitfire planes after WW11 )
I made a dinner area and storage space, fitted aux battery for fridge and inside lights.
Made a toilet area cubical and sleeping /lounge area.
I never drilled or modified any area of the original bus in case anyone wants to convert it back to a school bus

Since converting it I do lots of miles and events

Frickin' Gorgeous! --- I gotta ask...is the "Chevy chassis" a '42 or something later? How about the engine & running gear?

BTW...I love old Airstreams...but this way out cools them all.

Straight 6 as it came from the factory with crunch gearbox.
