Military skoolie conversion

So I've recently been inspired and got the idea to take the the engine and entire driveline from an old military m35 duce an put it under a 44 passenger. Just curious if anyone has seen or done anything like that before. Pictures would be awesome. Thanks

Lol sorry had 1 too many in me. I updated it. I had the idea to put engine tcase and axles from an old military m35 duce on my bus. I'm sure it's easier said then done.
Currently in the process of interior conversion, I've always wanted to have a big 4x4 skoolie/toy hauler

I can drink to that!

It probably could be done....however.....that BIG Cummins under the hood wants a BIG engine bay. Lots of the later M900 series of those trucks even had the fabled 855 Big Cam. Also the truck is already set up with what its driveline needs.

Perhaps find and build out a M109 box truck version?

I'm fully supportive of a military skoolie haha. Some rockwells, a tcase, and some michelin XZL's would do a skoolie good.

It's been discussed on here a few times before, but I don't think any of the projects ever came to fruition.

I'd recommend a 5 ton over the 2.5 ton. The front axle is heavier on the 5 tons, I think the 2.5 tons are rated at like 11k lbs, but I've heard you don't want to run it at that though for longevity reasons.
