Mine looks about the same as yours. I was thinking about painting the bird black (after I sand the nubs and chrome off of it) and leaving the rest of the emblem as is.

BlueBird may still make those. I replaced the BlueBird signs on my redbyrd bus.

There is a Datsun Bluebird emblem that's near the right size, but not quite the same.

There are numerous lettering emblems available for Bluebird on ebay. I didn't find any round ones.

I think I may just hit it with steel wool when I clean up the trim strip across the front.
If it strips off the chrome, I think I will paint it black, then sand off or paint the bird.

I wouldn't mind a b210 emblem. They were such awesome little cars. Or the honey bee emblem... Pretty cool.

Nice color! I still can't decide what to paint mine but I want to do it soon so I can drive it. I don't want to get pulled over because I'm still school bus yellow. I also have brown tarps over it so it's not an eye sore to people driving by.
I like your color choice

An old hot rodders trick for bringing back lightly pitted chrome...

Clean the dirt and loose flakes off...then, wad up a piece of aluminum foil and scrub it with some chrome polish. Sounds weird but it works surprisingly well.

Lookin' good and I like the color too. Looks "minty fresh".

Back together. Need to touch up around the service doors, that will be done today... Think artist brush.

Today's progress
Going to try and get this side done
Maybe won't get to the door. Lots of slow brush work on the door.

I may be a bit nuts, but I like the bluebird stripe. That will go the darker green too, at some point.

What an amazing difference that makes. It's gone from a hippie bus look to a yuppie bus look.
