1984 Ford B-700 long-nose chassis
71-passenger Thomas body
Originally a 370 4bbl, now has a rebuilt 460
Spicer 5+2 tranny
22.5" 10-lug Budd wheels, 10R22.5's in back, 11R22.5's in front (will get 11's all around when ready to go)
No power steering
GVWR 25,500lbs, hydraulic brakes.
So far: rebuilt engine & new clutch installed, inside stripped except for first seats on each side, windows removed & paneled in, front school bus lights removed & covered over, rear lights wired in as turn signals.
Rear route sign removed (cracked glass), replaced with a metal panel on hinges holding 2 floodlights for nighttime parking.
Added key-lock on entry door.
