Original plan was to have a fold out table. After scratching our heads as to the best place to attach it we decided a free standing table was the best option. Removable legs are 3/4" steel pipe coated with clear rustoleum, maple and black walnut top has 4 coats of epoxy and 3 coats of polyurethane.

Thanks! Our goal was to maintain the bus look, didn't want it to stand out.

I really like you exhaust fan idea. Can you give more details about how it works? For example, the panel folds down to the open widow, does it rest against the window or does it attach to the window? How is it powered and do you have a switch on the panel or is it nearby on the wall? Very creative!

Thanks, the panel folds into the window, there's a piece of aluminum welded perpendicular to the main piece and that rests against the gutter and upper window frame, I'd say when it's folded out it's 1/2" inside the bus and an inch out, the hinge supports the whole thing and that's attached to the steel right above the window (aluminum and plastic don't weigh much), it's powered with 12v same place as the under cabinet lighting you can see a black cord in the top right corner entering through a grommet, there's two small switches on the front, I believe they're ceiling fan switches from the local RV parts place. One switch turns on fans 2 and 4, the other operates 1, 3, and 5.

Thanks that was very helpful. I am not sure if I will attempt (not sure if I have the skills to pull it off) something like that but I love to see creative ideas. Great work on your bus!

WOW, love that table, I also have been trying to figure out how to make folding table. my wife doesn't like the idea of fixed table sense TV will be on that wall.

Hi! I am late to your build here, but that actually works in my favor a bit. I too, have a wood stove to be installed in my smaller bus, and we have debated the through-the-roof or out-the-window options for the flue. Going with the roof option to facilitate draw, but now my next question is: how do the stove and chimney fare during travel? Do you have some sort of routine for prepping them for travel, or is your bus stationary?

I'm going to take that vent fan idea and apply it to another venue -- inside heat! I have overhead A/C ducting, but I'm going to remove the A/C. I'll put the vent fan on one end and blow the top cabin heat throughout.

We remove the 18" chimney section on the roof and cover with a frying pan (handle removed) that has 3 springs attached to it, roof has 3 eye bolts JB welded for the springs to attach. Chimney section stores in a box under the bed. Our stove gets hot sometimes, didn't like the idea of going through a window, those horizontal section get really hot.
