Ceiling nailers. 3/8” plywood cut into 4” strips. Planning to staple the pine t&g to these.

Slow progress the last week or so. Got the rest of the ceiling nailers up. Roughing in wiring for the recessed LED lights and hopefully starting on the ceiling tomorrow.

Looking great!

How did you frame around/under the AC units? Any pictures of that?
How did, or did you, account for the curvature of the roof?

I'd recommend using some Loctite ultimate construction adhesive with the staples. it's the clear stuff and literally glues anything, stays slightly flexible. I didn't trust the staples in my wood ceiling or walls after bouncing around a few backroads....

100% agree and had planned to glue them up as well. The twisting and bouncing is bound to pop staples or finish nails alone.

It’s not finished yet but I’ll probably just glue up some 2x2’s that are mocked in place currently (pics below). I had to get it sealed up before this new monsoon season we’ve been introduced to in Central PA.

As for the curvature, the thick foam gasket on the AC unit was enough to take up the curvature on the roof. Keep in mind, the roof is pretty flat in the center compared to the outer edges.

Got stalled on ceiling wiring since I changed my mind of what wire I want to use. Originally I ordered 16ga stranded wire that’s paired but that will make it tough to splice into for chaining the ceiling lights together so I’m going to get some individual primary wire in red and white tomorrow.

I used the break in wiring action to go ahead and get started on framing the exterior walls. It was a “tough job” so I needed someone “tough” to help hold 2x2’s while I screwed them down.

You can tell that he is tough because all the tough guys wear blue shoes, right?

Starting to feel like I’m getting something done. The outer interior walls are framed up except for a few pieces here and there that need some shimming. I will probably run my wiring and then insulate another layer with rockwool.

Knocked out the exterior lighting. We went with 2 lights in each side and 1 in the rear.

Very nice. I got a remote switch off Amazon so I could switch mine either from the back of the bus near the bed or at the driver's seat with the remote.

I was considering this as well. Can never have too many switches.

Managed to mount the exterior cameras as well tonight. I went with the eRapta quad view camera with 9” monitor.

remote wireless switches allow you carry remote in your pocket and operate from any where within range

Yup. It has DVR. I’m not sure how good it is yet but we’ll see. I couldn’t justify $800 for the Rear View Safety brand system. The eRapta was less than half the price and I really only wanted it for the side cameras and rear camera for my wife when she drives.

checked out the eRapta. When you get some use time in maybe share your opinion/experience?

How do you like your mount points? Surprisingly, I didn't really see any threads on the topic. Assumed really far forward, so I could see my rear tires clip curbs or something..
