Ordered 800ah (4-200ah) worth of batteries from SOK on Amazon after reading/watching a bunch of reviews. Will Prowse ultimately sold me on these. I also threw in a couple shots of the mechanical/electrical area under our bed. You can see the open area at the back left corner where my batteries will reside.

Batteries arrived and shiplap is going up! I also opted to put a layer of R-13 fiberglass in the 1.5” wall cavity. The walls all have 1.5” of foam board and then a layer of R-13 fiberglass so we should stay plenty cozy on ski trips. Last, I installed the bedroom controls for the thermostat, diesel heater control panel, PWM fan speed controller for the rear heater, and light switch.

I thought I explained it in one of my other posts. Sorry!

The heat exchanger passes heat energy from one type of liquid to another without letting the 2 liquids mix. In my case, one heat exchanger passes heat from the non-toxic liquid circulating through my main diesel heater loop to the toxic engine coolant so i can preheat my engine without starting it.

The second heat exchanger is actually my on-demand hot water heater. The non-toxic fluid passes heat to potable water and is then controlled by an aquastat and thermostatic mixing valve so I have consistent and never ending hot water.

Hope that makes sense.

Trim work sucks but makes or breaks the overall quality of a build. Slowly getting there.

Looking good! Now you can enjoy football season while working. I cant wait until i get out from under the bus.. I keep coming out like a coal miner.. Whats the siding you used on the wetbath? I was thinking about using PVC t&g for mine, but not sure yet.

It’s pvc shiplap from Lowe’s. I haven’t seen it used in a wet bath like this yet but I see no reason it won’t work.

Our Sheelhouse

Got the gas line and tank installed. This was my first time working with CSST and it was a breeze.

Access to the tank valve is through a small panel that was originally used for the emergency air door override. I cut out the back of the box to allow you to reach through to losses the fitting and operate the valve. I need to add a gusset to take some of the vibration/shake out of the current bracket but otherwise it’s installed and ready to go. The stove/oven is also all connected and ready for gas. Bud is powered up and batteries are charged….but I have to swap out all my 2/0 cable for 4/0. I didn’t realize that the surge capacity of the multiplus is much higher than the continuous rating and my wiring was undersized to handle it.

While I waited for the 4/0 cable to show up, I framed up one of the couches. Working on the other couch now. More to come

Couches are built. Still have to skin them with sealed maple plywood but they turned out how I wanted them to for the most part.

I also installed the floating counter/breakfast bar

Maiden voyage complete! 1 small leak at the water heater and a shower valve temp adjustment we’re the only issues we ran in to. Otherwise, it ran and operated flawlessly.

Now back to trim work and finishes. Planning to paint it in the spring when the weather allows.

Deletes look good. I'm still trying to figure out what I'm doing with mine. I wanna keep the eye brows. Do you work out on the pipelines? Would be sweet to have a rig like that out there.

No pipeline work for me. I’m more in to the custom fabrication side of things. Design->build type of stuff.

I don’t think the bus would make it very far off-road. It has plenty of ground clearance but it’s heavy and 2wd haha.
