I can tell you on that model of IC bus the ones with the 40 gallon tank are side-mounted near the entry door. The districts that opted for the larger 100-gallon tanks are center mounted behind the rear axle.

I thought I had 50 gallons in there based on running it down pretty close to empty. I can get about 300 miles out of a tank, but with two little kids and the amount of coffee I drink we never push it that far.

It is basically the kiddo/doggo window and covered with nose prints and finger prints at all times.
