Rattling Rust Bucket!

Well we decided to buy a 2001 international with 75,000 rebuilt runs like a dream. First time bus buyers obviously by the looks of the floor under the rubber! Apparently the previous owners didn't fill the holes when they removed the seats so when we pulled the rubber and we found I would say 80 percent of the floor rusted and GONE. Feeling like my husband and I made a big mistake! Is there any other options for flooring to fix it other than sheet metal? I'm ready to sell her for her engine and cut my loses! lesson learned! Any opinion? Thanks all!

Where is the bus from? Just out of curiosity.

Slap some plywood down and the tiny house folks cruising Craigslist would likely give you big bucks for such a low mile "beauty".

Whats the chassis look like? Under the floor?

Its from Ohio(I'm in CA) and had I done some decent research on the subject I would have known before not after that ohio is the rust belt! Is it safe for the person buying it? Id rather pay the dumb tax and eat a bit of cost than sell it unsafe. Also the ribs and everything under look alright still strong.

I was gonna guess Michigan.
Its safe enough. Its probably fixable, I'd wanna see the frame and the rest of it. If the only real rust is in the floors and mostly centered it shouldn't be too bad to fix.

That's really not all that bad compared to Ohio standards. Par for the course with anything over 10 years old.

We have been working everyday and it has come a very very long ways from the rust bucket it was! We actually live in it full time right and homeschool while finishing it up.
