Replacement Turn/Tail Lights

So the light bodies are super worn out on my bus so I'm going to replace them with new one, ideally LEDs. I'm seeing all of mine are 2-wire lights but online I'm seeing a lot that are just one wire. Is it possible to trade them out and change to just a 1-wire light? (This is the main question of this thread)

Has anyone else replaced theirs? I'm thinking I want to have the amber of the flashing lights (both front and rear) tied into the turn signals and then the reds tied to the brake lights and maybe just 2 white LEDs up front in place of the existing red flashing (cause ya know, no need to show brake lights up front...). If you have replaced yours, where did you purchase them from and what was the price? I'm seeing they're somewhat pricey...I need 6x amber, 4x red, and 2x white at this plan, but could easily go with two turn signals up front instead of the whites. I want the turns to have the arrow to them, I like the look on those more but a new solid amber is still better than what is currently on the bus.

Most, if not all, marker lights are 2 wire lights, because the plastic base is not electrically ground. You have to have some method of completing the circuit.

A good source of reliable LED lights is SUPERBRIGHLEDS (click the link).

Others have converted the overhead blinkers to high stops and turns.

These are the single wire ones I've seen.

Turn signal w/arrow (amber)**

On SuperBrightLEDs, this is the only one I seem to find that is a 7" round LED but they've been discontinued...

Just IMHO. Those turn signal amber arrow ones you show are nice, but they are incandescent. You will need to swap in LED bulbs. Not a huge deal, but something to consider...

If it were me doing it. I'd plug the upper holes in front for the red lights. Do what you are talking for the amber, and connect your rear reds to the brake light circuit.

OPTRONICS has 7" round LED's.
if they are single wire then the bus body is the ground and if they are plastic body 2-wire and you only have a single wire then your ground from the light go to a screw in the light to ground to the bus body.
Simple explanation but better advice as far as actual install if you decide to go that route.
Also on most busses GROTE manufacturing was the supplier.
Most of your lenses can still be reused if needed. more explanation if needed.
Good luck
