I like real golf too, but they won't let me be a hippie on the course, and I kinda get bored after a few holes.

Gotta love this weather...

No pics till I get a new camera... But I scored a nearly new Bostrom air ride seat to replace the horrid torture device that came in my Ward. $100 at a local yard sale. My xmas present to myself.
Picked up a couple Tomos mopeds that have kept me busy, too.

Air ride seats. Truck salvage around here is crazy expensive.

Yeah, I was browsing "yard sales" in my area on google one weekend before the holidays and saw the seats in an ad for a big sale right up the street.
He wanted 150 each, but I had a hundo in my pocket and he accepted.
No armrest but for the price I'm jazzed. Anything would have been an upgrade from what it came with. The new Bostrom still has the tag on it and the books/literature is still in the rear map holder flap.

I found used seats for $100.00 each 4-1/2 hours from here. You got a great deal!!

Look on Ebay. I can't remember the company-but there is a RV overstock place that always has a bunch of stuff up. Windows-doors-interiors -everything RV. Low opening bids + no reserve. I got 2 hatch doors-one was $10 + one was $8.

I just came from Lowes... I got a CRAZY deal on a glass vessel sink, drain, and wall mounted faucet. I'm thinking I'll try to use them on our bus. I wish my camera wasn't broken, but its this set-

It was a custom order return and was in the holiday clearance crap section for $50 new in box! SCORE! This set retails for hundreds.
I have a slightly less fancy setup in my house now and we just love it.

Hi ECCB. I lived in Eustis 2001-2007, now in Polk County. Picked up a 1997 BB All American Front Engine yesterday. Managed to twist my back, so couldn't start on seat removal, but will jump into it next weekend.

I will be happy to come up and help any time you need additional hands. Would especially like to participate in the roof raise, as I am contemplating doing the same.

I'd LOVE that, come on out any time!
I'll PM you my number. I can help you with the seats if you need a hand, I've gotten good at it.
I think you'll be glad if you raise the roof.

Heading out to the bus this afternoon.
I've got a new respirator finally, a shop fan, some camera batteries, and some other stuff. I have made it thus far with NO fan, believe it or not. This should make things much easier. The respirator has been sorely needed too.
Now I just need to find a new face shield. SOmeone "helping" managed to melt mine.

Gotta get a tiny bit more of this tar out, get some hardener, and spray a good coating of primer on the interior shell. Should be getting some 16ga squares cut soon to patch the holes from the roof exits permanently. I've been using pieces I cut from the ceiling panels temporarily.
After the tar and crap removal, the roof raise should be a piece of cake.
One thing I still have to do is get some estimates on the front cap for the transition area.
New tools in hand, I finally proceed some more. Feels good goin at my own pace, but I'm trying to figure out how to get some cash to inject into the project.
If anyone has any jobs/work please holler!

If you want some ideas for extra cash, please download (for free) the book I wrote, from www.heroicmoney.com. I do payroll for a large company and got tired of a particular employee bugging me for gas money all the time, so I did a bunch of research on weekend gigs and wrote this book. One of the ideas was to repair old photos if you know Photoshop - I realized that I've been playing with Photoshop since its first days, so I started my own side business (www.damagedphotorepair.com). I earn enough to keep me at it: you might find an idea in the book, too.

(Come one come all and download it: if you make a mint, remember me...)

Thanks, I'll check that out

Got a couple cans of enamel hardener at Tractor Supply this morning. Will be using it for the rest of my painting on the bus project.

I've finally gotten into the groove and got 9 panels done and primed yesterday! I've got six left now, and then the worst of all this will be over. I'm elated to be getting through this.
I've got two squares of 16ga being cut out to permanently patch the hatch holes in the roof monday.
I need to start acquiring rivets now. The cheap small ones are easy enough to find, but I want a very specific rivet- plain steel closed end mandrel 1/4". Gonna need a few hundred or so.
closed end

open end

Oh, and since it hasn't been taken yet, I think I'm going to officially name my bus.
