2 of them actually.. this one is all vintage (40 years and older) decorations.. so we all ditch our calendars.. and literally take over a hotel for a week... the hotel gets completely decked out, christmas cookies get baked, if the hotel is in a northern area they will even turn on the fireplace, and the christmas music.

Let me add to you comment about south florida
In thanksgiving, cubans cook the turkey inside the pork. lol

IMHO
Christmas is a state of mind for some, and you can celebrate it whenever you choose. If you choose not to.....so be it, but don't be the buzz kill for those that enjoy and celebrate it.
knot knocking anything, or anyone, but let it go.
have a nice day(-:

That's a great way to see someone get hurt!!! My dancing generally results in someone getting kicked. Especially with any kind of line dancing.

You techno weenies are just too much. More power to you but I ain't got time for all that. Ignoring of the creativity for it all. You'd fit in perfect in my neighborhood tho. There are a few houses in a row that must be in a Griswald competition. What they lack in technology they make up for in wattage. My money is on you blowing them out of the water.
Ever been to Disney? I think it was around Thxgiving but they had their fireworks timed to music. I dunno if I could do house lights but if I get to blow stuff up in tempo and color I might have to reconsider!!

Disney is a lot of things but cheap ain't one of them. When they put on a production, they put on a PRODUCTION!! Of course they ain't cheap on their ticket prices either.

Nice!
That's very impressive.
Do you have to program it while inside, then go out and see what you've done and how it looks or just wifi lappy and sit in the car? You've got quite a few channels running- DMX controlled ?
I had the salsa video and the 2 x-mas videos playing at same time. That will earn you some looks in a Starbucks...

that was old.. and it was 100% manual programming.. I ran the show at a 1/10th second interval.. it took 24 hours of programming for every 1 minute of light show.. that was all incandescant light strings.. standard xmas lights.. no color changing anything..
the newer stuff im using is much more impressive.. color changeable, video sync etc... I can do the salsa in front of a camera and then map the motions into the lights if I really wanted to...
oops!! yeah we totally hijacked the RYO thread!.. then again RYO is about enjoying Life fancy free and whatever comes your way!

A pic of my little brother Andy working on the bus last summer.
He passed away two weeks ago, and he's sorely missed. We had lots of plans and lots of things still to do together.

East Coast CB,
I want to convey my condolences to you and yours. I also have lost loved ones this past year and it is not easy at all. Know that prayers are being said with you in mind.
