generator mount
Did you look at the spot where the spare tire mounts on an All American
bus mounts. If you go to the Wanderlodge Users group you will see how
Blue Bird mounted the generator on their single axle pusher models SP38
SP40, SP36 etc. They created a slide out that came out the front of the bus
after unbolting the middle section of the front bumper and taking out the
filler plate where the grill would have been if it was a front engine model.
Mine measures about 24" tall by 34" wide by 52" long for a generator to fit.

That is better than my idea. I was going to put it up in the small door just below the driver. There is a hatch there that, as far as I can see, is only a fuse access hole?
I will ck the website. Thanks Dragonpop.

Most buses have air tanks under the floor behind the front bumper.
But they are nestled up inside the frame rails.
When BB and others (like Newell) have mounted gensets behind the front bumper they mounted them below the air tanks. When you consider how low to the ground FE buses get you realize how low you can mount a genset and still have plenty of clearance.

Well,
After getting married, starting a new job, buying and restoring (down to the frame) a 2000 sq ft house, building a shop big enough to get the bus inside, and an upstairs living quarters in it, whew! Well not 100% complete on the shop, but the "Skoolie" fever is meandering back. She has been out at a buddy's place, and I just went through her last month with some new hoses and belts and batteries. Will be bringing her home to the new shop here shortly... looking forward to getting her complete.
Good to be back friends!
