It is your great photos and commentary that has driven up your page count not your lack progress.

What Ted said^ looks awesome and fantastic progress.
This heats a bastard all around! On Monday I made reference in another thread that we had set a record temp here, a little town called Lytton not far from my place. Yesterday afternoon the entire town was consumed in a fast moving fireball. Preliminary reports are suggesting a spark from a passing train did the deed.
Stay safe, keep hydrated and keep building.
Cheers

Some more cabinet doors.
Sigh, the problems with having a bunch of lines already drawn on your wood.
Not sure about the staggered handle placement here. My basic design principle is to always center them vertically, but it looks a bit odd with these two doors. I may move the left one when I paint everything.
Added framing support and drawer tracks.
Built the drawer without attaching the face yet.
I needed to shim out one of the tracks and also ream out the attaching screw holes a bit. Initially the screw heads were sticking far enough out into the track for the drawer to catch on them sometimes.
Finally got the drawer opening and closing smoothly and flush with the cabinet face. I had to run the whole drawer through the table saw to get it flush.
Then I was able to position the drawer face exactly where I wanted it and screw it in to the rest of the drawer.
Attached a lip to support the front of the bottom, and the pull handle and two roller clasps to keep the drawer closed.
Everything looks a bit off here because some of the poplar door trim pieces are the dark green poplar, but everything's actually pretty squared up. Once it's all painted white it will look better.
Never built a sliding drawer before, pretty pleased with how this turned out.

I'm starting to occasionally see some sort of black flying ant/wasp critters going into random nail holes in my interior carpentry. I think I may need to jump the gun on wood-filling my construction holes and at least priming/sealing the interior.

Mounted the doors to my under-sink cabinet.
My shortest tensioner yet.
Clasp hardware in place.
All that's left to do cabinet-wise is the two doors on the cabinet over my desk, the two large drawers under the forward end of the bed, and filling in the space between the bed and the dropped closet.
Doing a total cleanup tonight. Showing the bus to relatives who haven't seen the bus in a year and a half tomorrow.

Wow, almost got into a pretty bad collision on the way back to my parking lot tonight. I was pulling up to a red light in the left turn lane, and an SUV making a right turn from the crossroad made it way too fast and hopped up onto the divider right next to me, heading straight for my seat. They somehow regained control and missed me by just a few inches. I wonder if it was the sudden appearance of a big yellow school bus in their field of vision that snapped them awake or something.
I really need to get a dashcam setup going.

Very happy to hear that all worked out to your advantage and you and the bus are safe. I can imagine you sitting there watching that thing flying at you and seeing all that hard work getting smashed would not be fun.
Stay safe

My dream is to take a ding that I can fix myself, but get some of that sweet, sweet insurance company money. But I have no idea how they would adjust a claim like that with a bus like mine. Maybe they would tell me to take it to a couple of body shops and get repair estimates? I guess getting a brand-new school bus out of the deal would be out of the question.
My big fear is that there are lots of uninsured drivers around here and hit-and-runs are pretty common as well.

Just ordered some of these to try out. My clasps are mostly holding through a drive but occasionally not, especially on the drawer.

$55 lesson on the importance of securing stuff in the z-axis.
I had meant to add a removable block of wood above the microwave that would hold it down and prevent it from bouncing up and out of its cubby, but I figured it was not very likely to happen and gave it a low priority. Oh well.
