The way you made that Fan stick out out of the roof together with allowing light in is a really nice detail hat adds a lot of character to the bus, nice job

Ripped my countertop. Slow weekend, should be able to install this on Tuesday (Monday is another snow day here).

Yeah damndest thing. We get this kinda crazy $&it every 10 to 15 years and is usually pretty hard to deal with if you don’t prepare for it. We did ok through it. No busted pipes or anything like that. I put a little 1500 watt heater in the bus to see how it would do in a hard freeze. Not bad. Got it up to 41 degrees. My wife was just getting over the Covid , so she was about to crawl out of her skin.

Nice to know I'm not the only one that feels that way. The day may come when I remove the bus windows from Leavuntaun but only if I find a way to replace them with other windows that can be successfully sealed. I agree part of the appeal of a skoolie is the amount of glass - the views - the light.
I also decided early on that, if I ever do a roof raise, the window frames will go up too.
Nice progress. I haven't been getting on the forum as much since I'm wintering in Florida and filling my days with playing with an old motorcycle but you've certainly been busy. Great job, keep going.

I'm bummed, in a COVID-free world I would have been down in Florida now myself. Instead I'm shoveling ice off my driveway today.

LOL ... I shudda kept my mouth shut!
Thank you for the concern. We made it through okay. It was cold, but we had a fireplace. I ran an extension cord from The Beast into the house so we could charge up the cell phones. The house batteries lasted about 40 hours.
Of course, today was in the 80's!

I really like what you did on that side door! Kudos!
Tip: Grab the hacksaw blade with vice grips and wrap a rag around the vice grips. This makes it much more comfortable to saw. The hardware stores also carry a device that is a plastic handle that will hold the blade. Those are GREAT.
Look at the "mini hacksaw" listed here: https://uk.rs-online.com/web/general...hacksaws-guide
