last I saw they still have some... not sure what all you'll need to swapo a 643 into a 5.9, its an "easy" swap on an international engine but the gist of a 643 swap is you'll need your flywheel housing to be SAE2 (if the 5.9 is SAE2 adapted to SAE3 for the 545 you can remove the ring and the flexplate spacer.. you'll need a different flexplate.. the bolt pattern is larger.. the 643 weights 700 lbs (with converter) the 545 is about 400. on navistar V-8's you need a cross member.. on Navistar DT's you dont. not sure about 5.9. youll need to rework the cooler lines.. they use a #12 O-ring boss fitting.. so an adapter from #12 ORB to 7/8 Flare is needed. driveshaft needs shortened.. otherwise bolt it in and go.. (im doing a 545 to 643 swap in my DTA-360 bus as we speak..)
I did the 1000 swap from a 545 on my T-444E last year.. you can see what all that takes to make work in my thread called 'The RedByrd Transformation' mechanically its bolt and go if you get the right 1000 (no a GM duramaxx 1000 will not work in a school bus).. theres a possibility you could buy a new flywheel housing for your 5.9 from 'CAC,defero, others' which would allow for a GMC bell pattern to work... but the housing in an application where a 545 is used is an SAE3 (NOT same as a dodge 5.9 pickup truck).
I had my 1000 built with an SAE3 BELL / TAIL so it would mate right up to where my 545 was..
