Solar roof Rack material

Hello,

Can I repurpose the stainless steel hand rails and use them for mounting solar panels? I will be using 10x HF solar panels for a 1000W system. Will the hand rail be strong enough to hold?

Thanks.

Kin

Can you weld stainless? Do you have a tube notcher? And some seriously hard hole saws to cut them? Round tubing is mighty strong, but in case of stainless hard to work with.

I decided that I’d like to have more tools and develop the skills to use them, but now was not the time.

By the way, Harbor Freight is REALLY not the place to get your solar panels.

What's the issue with Harbor Freight solar panels? Looks like they have great reviews, what are your recommendations?

Thanks

Cost per wattage is high. Better shop at your local solar panel distributor.
