Starting our build Anubis (Anubis)
So we are picking up our first bus tomorrow, she's a 2004 international with 156,345 on her clock, a CAT C7 under the hood and a manual 5 speed trans. She is also a 10 window. I'm gonna try and be consistent with my updates to this thread and would love any feedback y'all are willing to give.

Congrats!
I have never seen a bus with a C7 and a manual transmission.
You may want to Google "bulletproofing your C7" . There are some tweaks to improve reliability.
Good luck and post lots of pictures

I'm way into adept ape and his videos, and I'm definitely already planning to add the two extra filters the should keep it running better longer. And oh yeah I'm gonna take and post as many as I can.

I think we'd all like to see more posts about the C7 since it is not as prevalent in the Skoolie world, yet.

Definitely, I've noticed that there aren't that many and it's harder to find opinions about it. So I'll be doing my best to keep y'all updated on the way it runs and handles and all that. Felt really good on the test drive. Definitely not lacking any power or smoothness.

I've seen plenty of c7's in buses. Not too many manual transmissions with em though.

That was actually a deciding factor in the purchase of this bus, me and the wife both prefer a manual, though I'm still gonna have to teach her how to drive something this big. But that's half the fun.

Congrats on the purchase and especially on going with a manual transmission. I had a 10 window with a 5 speed manual and I would never want anything else. We changed the rear end and could cruise at 70 mph all day with ease. We had a second fuel tank added and it was well worth it on longer trips.

Yeah honestly it just seemed like a better option. And yeah I'm not sure if we are gonna go as far as to swap the rear on it. But I would like to eventually.

FYI save your pics in PNG format before posting them here - that will prevent them from being rotated the wrong way.
