Keep up the good work. Oil that air tool before using and regularly, will last longer & hearing protection. I am no fun.

Keep on keepin'

[emoji56][emoji56]. I'm sure it's the initial excitement of a new project along with knowing this will take a lot longer than I'd like it to. I usually don't have much time mon-fri because my wife works evenings most weekdays and passes the parent torch as soon as I get home. Trying to get as much done as possible that doesn't require spending much money between paychecks. I hope to have it ready for a roof raise and be able to purchase the materials for that weekend after next. Hopefully I can recruit some willing talented help for that part by then. [emoji848][emoji6][emoji6]. But man my back is screaming slow down!! Should have done this in or before my twenties!

Rivet Removal

Great work so far! The way I've been removing rivets is much like the video that @EastCoastCB posted, but (i) I used a SpringTool to punch out the mandrel from the center, and (ii) a rivet busting air hammer chisel bit (basically it's only beveled on one side).

Quick First ROUGH draft of what's been rolling around in my head. Don't think I mentioned we will have two-three kids full time and up to six visiting. What do you guys think?

I always like to sketch, but rarely ever follow it. Call it ARTISTIC LICENSE. Your drawing looks like you have general idea. Keep it going

Well it's too late to change anything but the drawing [emoji12]. I wouldn't trade any of them or anything and wouldn't give a nickel for another! [emoji16]

Yeah boys the air hammer is the ticket! By the second panel I was getting those suckers out faster than I could take out screws! Could use a bigger compressor but I'm able to pop 6-8 rivets out before I have to let it catch up and by that time my arms could use a short break anyway. Much better than slinging a mini sledge at a crowbar. That last rivet is a doozy though. Nothing like catching a steel panel with your head while trying to lower the tool in your hand.

Looks like you're headed in the right direction. I am an electrician. Obviously I can't do you much good, but I'll try to answer any questions you may have. I helped my brother wire his entire house in Washington with an Iphone.

That's one way to do it. Of course then theres the breathing protection needed, and hot sparks everywhere.

So my goal for today was to have all the wall panels and ceiling panels out, take all the old insulation out and clean up. Unfortunately I ran out of daylight, my headlamp is dead and now that the dome lights are hanging they stopped working. I assume it's because they were grounded by the screws they were mounted with. Also, my wife had to leave for work and I had to get inside with my boys. I got all the wall panels out and I lack one more row of rivets and a few screws getting all the ceiling panels out. Still got to pull the insulation from the ceiling and driver side. If I can make it home from work before dark tomorrow I'll hit it a lick again. My phone died and I had to charge it when I got back in so no pics tonight sorry.

Yeah, I'll adjust as I go as I see how things work out. I wanted to have a wood burning heater but when I started scaling the drawing there was no room. I'll tighten it up as I go and make what adjustments I can. I already have a few changes in mind. Just wanted to see if what was in my head was fiesable.

Wasn't able to get any work today but I did step in. What a mess! Looks like a lot of the insulation fell out on its own during the day. Less work for me!
