I have noticed the Thomas version of this but has a slightly taller roof behind where the driver / entry door. I would check those out to see if there is additional headroom. If you need the bluebird headroom height let me know.

The short wheelbase is great for our use. If I had to do this again I would look for one that is slightly longer for better space planning on the interior.

Mine has air ride on the rear and leaf springs in the front. I would avoid any bus that does not have air ride on the rear axle. The short wheelbase already makes for a bouncy ride, it would be worse with leaf springs.
